ATL Sparrows Join ABL

Atlanta, Georgia – The American Basketball League (ABL) today announced that the Atlanta Sparrows are the latest team to be added for the 2023 season.

The team is in the process of looking for a home in the Atlanta area but is not limiting itself to looking for gyms only in the Metropolitan area. Marietta, a suburb of Atlanta continues to be a very real possibility.

“I’ll be calling around tomorrow to help speed up the process,” ABL President Mac Claire said. “Trae (Vice President Long) will be busy making inquiries too.

“Atlanta is an important city for us.”

The Sparrows are listed on the league schedule for the first half of the season. But the schedule has them playing a heavy amount of road games early.
